Using clay on your paint work is an essential step in achieving a smooth glass like paint finish.
Clay removes above surface contaminants like tree sap, road tar and atmospheric fallout from the surface of your paint work.
The Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay kit contains 3 x 60g clay bars, 1 x microfibre cloth and 1 x Meguiar’s Quik Detailer as the clay lubricant.
The Meguiar’s Quik Clay Detailing System contains 1 x 80g clay bar and 1 x Meguiar’s Quik Detailer as the clay lubricant.

What is Claying?
Claying is often thought of as a difficult process that should only be performed by trained professionals; but on the contrary is a very simple process that usually can be done fairly quickly.
Our non-abrasive clay bar safely, easily and instantly removes tar, tree sap, paint overspray, fallout, environmental contaminants and more, making waxing easier and longer lasting
With the proper use of the clay bar and Meguiar’s Quik Detailer (included in the kits), the clay will quickly, but gently remove tree sap and road tar from your vehicle’s painted surfaces. Claying removes ‘bonded contaminants’ on your paint’s surface leaving a smooth glass like finish behind.
How to use Clay
Step 1
Take a Meguiar’s Clay bar and split in two. Work it into a disc shape the size of the palm of your hand.
Step 2
Mist the Meguiar’s Quik Detailer onto the clay and spray the panel you’re working on liberally.
Step 3
Rub the clay bar over the lubricated surface, going from left to right and then up and down in a hashtag like formation. Work the clay over the surface with finger tip pressure until the contaminants are removed. If clay becomes dirty, fold and knead to a clean side.
Step 4
Wipe the surface dry with a clean Supreme Shine Microfibre and evaluate the surface.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the surface is as smooth as glass.
