Bear Lawrence had been vilified by his employer. Dismayed, dispirited, despondent but not destroyed. The vile treatment he had endured had caused him to be chronically ill with ME/CFS. ‘me and my ME’ was the first article Bear wrote to raise awareness and help those touched by ME/CFS. He would go on to write ten stories and articles to raise awareness and help those touched by chronic illnesses and hidden disabilities, such as Long Covid, Fibromyalgia, Lupus and POTS. This led him to publish his first book, ‘Bear with ME’, which is a collection of short stories threaded together with the back story to each of them.
‘Bear in Mind’ tells of the bullying Bear endured at school, university and at the hands of his employer. Using intelligence, Bear fought back against his oppressors. He rallied against bullying senior staff and took his employer to the Employment Tribunal Service. You cannot bully Bear and not expect a reaction.
